It's only pieced together heresy at this point, but I did hear about this.
It's apparently a remix record of some new/obscure hip-hop group that
exists stateside. CI was going to do their single, and had asked a few for
remixes (someone in the Gescom/AE mold for one). They got a lot of
responses. One of them was from a Ninja act (maybe Herbaliser), who in turn
played the raw material for Ninja Tune bosses. They balked and decided to
release the whole thing (after, of course, seeing the roster of others
involved...). That's the word on the street, so to say... -Våt.
